Thanks to your kind help, this October we were able to start to build a new school and a new teachers’ house for Yerweser, a village in Batanta, Raja Ampat, without a school for more than 20 years.

They asked for our help, and we have been able to pay for current expenses, besides building a small house.

However, the classes are still held in an old church, which is falling apart and it is not enough for all, so 27 kids have to learn outside when the rain allows it. The house is crowded because we had to hire more teachers for different classes. Currently, we have 67 students.

Thanks to your kind donations, we have already started to make the foundations for the new buildings, but there is still a long way to go.

Being on a remote island in the remote province of West Papua, almost everything is more expensive as many materials have to come from Java. Besides, Yerweser is in a remote area, and the transportation costs in Raja Ampat are also expensive.

We still need 25,000 Euro (this is about 389 million IDR or 27,700 USD) to finish this project. If you want to help us with our goal, kindly find out how here.

Any contribution makes the difference! We will keep you updated about the progress of the construction and tell you how the money has been used.

You can also support us by sharing our request with your friends!

Thank you for helping us to build a brighter future for the future generations of West Papua!
